Join a vibrant campus community whose excellence is reflected in its diversity and student success.  West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s Financial Aid Office invites applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Financial Aid.  Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid, the Assistant Director provides leadership for and administers the Pennsylvania state grant, outside state grants, special programs, and RTSS scholarship. This person is also responsible for managing the satisfactory academic progress appeals process. The position performs a wide variety of tasks and projects supporting the Financial Aid Office and provides the leadership to effect change and improve the delivery of aid and services to students. The Assistant Director must review, analyze, plan, and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and guidelines.  The Assistant Director must value teamwork and collaboration, be committed to continuous improvement, be dependable, take initiative, solve problems effectively, communicate clearly, and support organizational change.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid, the Assistant Director administers the Pennsylvania State Grant program, the Assistant Director is the single point of contact for the PA State Grant, Enrollment Mode Reporting, the Ready to Succeed Scholarship Program (RTSS), and out-of-state grant programs. The Assistant Director also serves as the lead for the financial aid academic progress appeal process, including developing the implementation of changes in federal policy changes and leading the function and activity of the Financial Aid Academic Progress Appeal Committee. The position performs a wide variety of tasks and projects supporting these aid programs and provides the leadership to effect change and improve the delivery of aid and services to students and their families. This position also serves as the Financial Aid Office liaison to the Transfer Concierge and to academic program coordinators; this position is responsible for training both entities about financial aid academic progress and its appeal process. The Assistant Director must be knowledgeable of and work within all the laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines for each of the financial aid programs as set forth by the University, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the federal government, and all other private and public funding sources. The Assistant Director must review, analyze, plan, and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and guidelines. Qualification:

Instructions:
