Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to recruit and enroll applicants to Moore College of Art & Design, while also serving as
a key point of contact for financial aid counseling. This dual-role position involves outreach and engagement with prospective
students through calls, written correspondence,recruitment travel, and events, as well as providing support in understanding
financial aid resources and processes. The counselor willmaintainpositive, efficient, andeffective communication with prospective
students, families, and secondary school officials.
Responsibilities:
Admissions (focused work during the fall and winter):
1. Correspond with prospective students, applicants, secondary school officials, and others seeking information on admissions to
the College.
2. Serve as a primary contact for prospective students and families through in-person, phone, text, and email communications.
3. Conduct admissions counseling and outreach, including application assistance, portfolio reviews, and academic evaluations.
4. Register, schedule, assign and attend recruitment activities and make presentations at on and off campus meetings, events
and/or conferences.
5. Review and determine admissibility of applicants based on academic credentials and creative portfolios.
6. Maintain accurate records and follow-up communications within the College’s Customer Relation Management (CRM) and
data systems.
7. Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Financial Aid (focused work during the spring and summer):
1. Assist incoming students and their parents through the financial aid process.
2. Assist with answering the Financial Aid email inbox promptly.
3. Compile financial aid package revisions, review and process required documents from students and parents, etc.
4. Communicate often and consistently with the Director to discuss the status of operations, any problems, or training needed.
5. Participate in conducting financial aid counseling appointments and presentations at any of Moore College of Art & Design’s
recruitment events.
6. Understand and keep informed of changing Federal Student Aid and PHEAA regulations.

Requirements/Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required • Experience in college admissions, financial aid, or student services preferred • Collegiate art and design experience encouraged • Demonstrated ability or strong interest in sales, marketing, or customer service • Experience working directly with youth and families, especially youth and families who identify as queer or LGBTQIA, newcomers, first-generation immigrants, and people with diverse abilities • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Familiarity with CRM systems and digital record-keeping (e.g., Slate, Salesforce, etc.) • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for recruitment • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed • Ability to work remotely as needed • Demonstrated ability to communicate confidential financial aid information with professionalism and sensitivity to students, families and staff • Collaborative and accountable mindset with an interest in working within a dynamic team environment
