Student Financial Services Counselor
Misericordia University is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Student Financial Aid Counselor to join our team in Dallas, PA. The Student Financial Services Counselor will evaluate the financial needs of students and award financial aid according to government and institutional regulations and guidelines. In this role, you will provide financial aid information and advice to students and families through e-mail, phone, and personal contact, assisting them in navigating the complexities of financial aid processes and ensuring they have access to the resources needed to pursue their educational goals. This role is on-campus.
Misericordia University
Experience: 5 years of experience in financial aid, student counseling or related experience. Experience in higher education preferred. Related Duties: Knowledge of general regulations governing the administration of federal, state, and college financial aid programs, including grant and loan programs preferred. Ability to keep current on changes in regulations, policies, and procedures. Handle confidential information. Uphold and promote the Mission and Philosophy of the University and the Sisters of Mercy. Preserve honesty and integrity in the professional affairs of the University; adhere to high standards of ethical practices and conduct.
