Financial Aid Counselor
Wilson College in Chambersburg is seeking a full-time Financial Aid Counselor who will be a member of our Student Financial Services team and will report to the Dean of Financial Aid. This position will provide information to students and families on all financial aid programs and procedures. This would include functions related to the application process that could include Grant programs, PHEAA matching-funds programs, and any other third-party aid provider that enables Wilson students to realize their dream of obtaining an education at Wilson College. The successful candidate would have the presentation skills necessary to administer financial literacy programs for current students and any other training necessary to facilitate understanding of the requirements for financial aid. Knowledge of what is required to follow up with delinquent federal loan borrowers to avert default is also needed. Collaboration with others is a must in order to accomplish goals. Additional detailed job duties will be communicated during the employment interviewing process.
Wilson College
The successful candidate would possess an associate’s degree or at least 2 years of college required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred with experience in higher education, business, or human services. Written documentation of education and experience and written references, are required before beginning employment.
