The Financial Aid Office supports the recruitment, retention, and student success efforts of the University’s diverse undergraduate and graduate student population by helping students and their influencers seek, obtain, and make the best use of all financial resources.

The Business Analyst provides business and systems support for the Financial Aid Office and its mission in providing quality service to students.  Working with minimal direction, this position provides comprehensive business analysis services and is responsible for reviewing business processes from end-to-end to identify operational, financial, and student satisfaction efficiencies and optimizations.

The Business Analyst works collaboratively in the design, documentation, testing, and maintenance of business processes, reports, queries, and dashboards to support the recruitment, admissions, financial aid packaging, and onboarding for all student populations in support of the university’s commitment to enrollment management and student success. This position also helps to ensure that all systems and third-party ancillary data systems remain aligned with federal, state, and institutional regulatory requirements in support of financial aid application processing, awarding, disbursement, audit controls, research, and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree
Demonstrated experience working in student information systems such as PeopleSoft or Ellucian
Prior higher education Business Analyst experience
Knowledge of financial aid systems and federal regulations.

Bachelor’s degree Three (3) years of higher education experience Demonstrated functional experience with systems such as student information systems, CRMs, document management systems, or other software solutions to support higher education functional areas Demonstrated understanding of project management in higher education Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
