Job Description:

Join a vibrant campus community whose excellence is reflected in its diversity and student success. Working under direction from the Deputy Director of Financial Aid, the Assistant Director (AD) of Customer Service and Engagement will assist with the oversight of customer service to include the web within the Financial Aid Office to include supervising (4) AFSCME staff members who comprise the customer service team. The AD performs a wide variety of tasks and projects supporting the Academic Success Program for financial aid, the Promise Program (homeless and foster youth program), financial literacy program, and all forms of financial communication and outreach. The AD must be knowledgeable of and abide by all the laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines for each of the financial aid programs as set forth by the university, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the federal government, and all other private and public funding sources.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree; A minimum of two years of working in financial aid or related higher education experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with financial aid systems including People Soft, COD, NSLDS, and FAA Working with Title IV Federal Work Study Customer Service/Financial Aid Counseling Experience (working with diverse populations/possess excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills) Knowledge of financial aid verification (federal, state, institutional guidelines/regulations); Evidence of strong organizational and communication skills.
