Job Description:

The Senior Associate Director lends direct support to the Director for the management and general administration of student aid programs, particularly with regard to regulatory compliance through the administration of efficient and effective delivery systems. The position also acts as the financial aid functional lead to University IT, as well as other office on campus. Specific responsibilities include performing Banner annual system set-up, testing upgrades, patches, enhancements and creating/maintaining appropriate documentation; providing updated system information to assist staff in the use of various systems for financial aid administration; reviewing and managing requests for access to financial aid data as well as security roles for staff and student workers; interpreting, applying and communicating federal, state and institutional rules and regulations relevant to financial aid procedures to ensure compliance; packaging and awarding financial aid; assisting with the preparation of the Financial Aid Policy and Practice (P&P) manual and annual updates; evaluating processes and procedures and implementing improvements; creating or generating various reports as necessary to ensure timely and accurate reporting and supervises assigned personnel.

Qualification:

A Bachelor’s Degree and three years of financial aid experience is required. Successful performance in an on-campus interview is required. Preferred Qualifications A Master’s Degree and experience with Banner, Financial Aid automation, technology expertise, and previous supervisory responsibilities are preferred.
