Associate Director/Federal Verification & Grants Coordinator
Shippensburg University is currently accepting applications for an Associate Director/Federal Verification & Grants Coordinator.
The Associate Director will administer and oversee all aspects of the Federal Grant Programs to include Pell, SEOG and TEACH grants, as well as performing federal verification and processing all professional judgments. Responsibilities include independently coordinating all document tracking, corrections, electronic transmissions, disbursements, Pell Grant monthly reconciliation, and staff training as needed. The Associate Director will be responsible for interfacing with CPS, Banner, Campus Logic, COD, NSLDS, PHEAA, SLATE and Cognos. The position will monitor Pell POPS/MMRs, LEU and remaining Pell Eligibility. Other responsibilities include federal grant reporting to include assisting the Director with FISAP reporting and serving as the federal grant liaison with Grant Accounting, Student Accounts, IT and other departments.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of three years of progressive experience working in Financial Aid, including experience performing Federal Verification, including the resolution of C Codes and post-packaging EFC changes and Pell Grant processing. Experience handling Professional Judgments as well as very strong technical skills (including the ability to extract and organize information), strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work independently are also required. Successful performance in an on-campus interview is required. Preferred Qualifications A Master’s Degree, strong background in processing federal grant funds, experience with Banner and supervisory experience are preferred qualifications.
