Job Description:

The Data Coordinator for Financial Aid Operations & Technology is directly responsible for processing applicant/student information and documentation which includes batch processing, manual processing, document processing, and financial aid status updates. Additionally, the Data Coordinator will perform quality control audits to ensure the integrity of the data in our systems across all platforms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Applicant/Student Information – Batch/Manual Processing: perform the routine batch processes that import applicant/student data into our system of record and transfers data between systems; manually enter information when electronic data transfer is not an option.

Document Processing: ensure that all financial aid documents are entered into applicant records and properly stored in the system.

Operations – Quality Control: perform the daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly audits of data that uncovers data integrity issues; work with the team to resolve issues for the short-term and long-term by conducting/assigning clean-up, identifying patterns of problems, and introducing new processes that improve data integrity.

Team Support: provide training, support, and back-up for the other teams within EM who are responsible for entering/managing data within our systems.

Financial Aid Team Responsibilities: as a member of the Financial Aid team, contribute to efforts related to planning, policy & procedure development, and quality assurance & effectiveness.

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

Qualification:

Candidate must have excellent customer service and organizational skills, strong oral and written communication skills and the desire to work closely with a diverse student population. Prior data related experience preferred.
