Job Description:

Temple University seeks an experienced, dependable, organized, strategic thinker, and supportive leader with a track record of successful management and communication skills to join our team for the position of Associate Director for Processing within the office of Student Financial Services (SFS).

This position: provides leadership, direction, and supervision to staff while managing the day-to-day administration of complex financial aid programs; works closely with the Director and systems operation team to design and implement financial aid strategies, policies, and procedures that further the university’s strategic goals—ensuring  compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, and university policies and procedures; is responsible for maintaining compliance by analyzing data and preparing financial reports as necessary and regularly auditing financial aid procedures, practices, documents, and operations to best administer financial aid and assist in funds management, and, investigates, proposes, system and procedural enhancements.

This position is temporarily assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.

Qualification:

Required Skills & Abilities: * Demonstrated progressive experience with enterprise student information systems; identifying trends in data; and executing data-informed decisions. * Ability to maintain a high level of customer service for existing business functions while exploring new functional process efficiencies while navigating within the ever-evolving financial aid delivery landscape. * Excellent written and verbal skills and the demonstrated competence to effectively present information in either format. * Proven technical skills with specific focus on Banner financial systems to ensure data integrity, compliance, and adequate internal controls. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with employees at all levels of the University. * Demonstrated commitment to diversity and the ability to help build intercultural understanding and demonstrate multicultural perspectives that can foster a diverse and inclusive community. * Excellent organizational, time management, collaboration, and active listening skills. Preferred: * Master’s Degree
