Financial Aid Technical Coordinator
This position supports all aspects of operation of the financial aid module of the Ellucian Banner software system, and other software and technology products used by the Financial Aid office. The incumbent will take the primary leadership role in the area of information technology and systems within the Financial Aid Office. While not necessarily an IT professional at the level that would fit the definition of a ‘programmer’ as that term is commonly used, the incumbent will maintain a high level of competence in computer systems and networks, and stay current with developments in the IT field as they relate to financial aid.
Messiah University
Knowledge of BANNER Student Information System or other similar Oracle-based systems highly preferred; 3 years of Financial Aid experience strongly preferred; experience as a technical coordinator for the financial aid module of an Enterprise Resource Planning system at a college or university strongly preferred if no experience with BANNER. • In-depth knowledge of database management and programming concepts • Ability to update and maintain web content using the Jadu website content management system. • Effective interpersonal and communication skills • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to work effectively as a team member as well as independently • Ability to relate well to both on-campus and off-campus contacts • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Knowledge of and ability to apply Federal regulations governing student financial aid
