Gannon University, a vibrant Catholic institution committed to excellence through inclusiveness, invites applications for an Assistant Director of Financial Aid. This position is responsible for counseling students and families on various financial aid topics, awarding scholarships in accordance with applicable policies, representing the Financial Aid office at presentations and various public forums, determining eligibility for the Federal Work-Study program, overseeing the awarding of endowed scholarships, managing documents and outside scholarship information on the Financial Aid website, serving as a School Certifying Official (SCO) to support students receiving veterans benefits,  awarding of all on-line programs, and overseeing the office document imaging process.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree with a broad educational background including advanced verbal, written, and mathematical skills.  Must have two years of experience working in a comparable setting exhibiting key skills, mindset, and core competencies of technology, communication, and customer service.  Candidates must be able to work independently, research and interpret federal, state, and institutional policies to convey information to a variety of audiences, problem solve, develop reports, and perform comprehensive calculations.  A bachelor’s degree with experience in a college or university Financial Aid Office is preferred.
