Financial Aid Counselor
The Financial Aid Counselor evaluates financial aid application information and prepares financial aid packages for students while ensuring that the University is in compliance with the state, federal and institutional policies and regulations governing financial aid. The Counselor also advises current and prospective students and their families on financial aid procedures and processes and consults with various University offices (Admissions, Registrar, Bursar) and external agencies (lenders, and guarantee agencies) to resolve related processing, certification, and payment issues. In addition to counseling, the position requires the oversight of at least one student aid program.

Bachelor’s degree required 1 to 3 years of financial aid experience preferred Knowledge of Federal Title IV and state regulations Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills Ability to communicate with individuals and large groups required Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks Must be computer literate Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability, and diversity Dedicated to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution
