Assistant/Associate Director of Financial Aid
Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA, a leader among the nation’s independent, two year colleges, has an immediate opening for an Assistant/Associate Director of Financial Aid (depending on experience). The Assistant/Associate Director of Financial Aid reports to the Asst. VP of Financial Aid. They will work closely with the departments of Student Records, Student Accounts, Admissions, and Finance. They are expected to maintain strong collegial relationships with the faculty, students, staff, and administrators.
Qualifications: 1) Bachelor’s Degree and three to five years of experience in a College/University Financial Aid department required. This is not an entry level position. 2) Knowledge of Title IV financial aid program administration, regulations, policies and procedures with a strong emphasis on compliance. 3) Experience with management of Title IV programs including development of cost of attendance, needs analysis, verification, packaging, R2T4, Federal Pell Grant, Campus Based and Student Loan processing. 4) Well versed with Federal Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loan origination and disbursement processing, as well as reconciliation of the programs. 5) Knowledge of the administration of Pennsylvania State Grant and special programs. Familiarity with ALEC a plus. 6) Experience with financial aid systems and programs including COD, EDConnect, NSLDS, FAA Access to CPS Online, the eCampus-Based System and SAIG. Familiarity with PowerFaids and PowerCampus is highly preferred. 7) Excellent analytic skills. 8) Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations. 9) Ability to maintain a strong customer service focus. 10) Experience in providing training to staff. 11) Strong communication (both oral and written), interpersonal and organizational skills.
