Job Description:

Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA, a leader among the nation’s independent, two year colleges, has an immediate opening for an Assistant/Associate Director of Financial Aid (depending on experience). The Assistant/Associate Director of Financial Aid reports to the Director of Financial Aid. He/she will work closely with the departments of Student Records, Student Accounts, Admissions, and Finance. He/she is expected to maintain strong collegial relationships with the faculty, students, staff, and administrators.

Harcum College is an independent, coeducational, fully accredited, residential college. The College offers career-informed associate degrees in allied health, business and social science, as well as certificates and a variety of continuing studies programs. Founded in 1915, it was the first college in Pennsylvania chartered to offer the associate degree. Today Harcum has career-informed degree programs on its accessible Bryn Mawr Campus, located just west of Philadelphia with over 1000 total students. Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree and three to five years of experience in a College/University Financial Aid department required. This is not an entry level position. Knowledge of Title IV financial aid programs, regulations, policies and procedures. Experience with management of Title IV programs including cost of attendance, needs analysis, verification, packaging, R2T4, Pell Grant, Campus Based and Student Loan processing. Well versed with Pell Grant and Direct Loan origination and disbursement processing, as well as reconciliation of the programs. Administers reporting for the US Department of Education including completion of the FISAP and the financial aid portion of IPEDS. Knowledge of Pennsylvania State Grants and special programs. Familiarity with ALEC a plus. Experience with financial aid systems and programs including COD, EDConnect,, NSLDS, FAA Access to CPS Online, the eCampus-Based System and SAIG. Familiarity with PowerFaids and PowerCampus is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations. Ability to maintain a strong customer service environment. Strong communication (both oral and written), interpersonal and organizational skills.
