The Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center is accepting applications for a Financial Aid Officer.
Financial Aid Officer
Interested candidates must be knowledgeable and experienced in administration of student financial aid programs, including, but not limited to, federal and state student financial aid. The selected candidate must have excellent communication skills in order to relay complex information, both verbally and in writing, to students and their families to guide them through the financial aid process. The Financial Aid Officer is a key member of the post-secondary operations of the GACTC and will collaborate with internal and external constituents. The selected candidate will have a working knowledge of financial aid programs and related regulations and reporting requirements. The Financial Aid Officer will develop and implement internal controls necessary to ensure compliance and administration of financial aid programs.
This is a full-time, management position with full benefits, primarily working day hours.

Qualifications include the following: Experience working in post-secondary financial aid. Knowledge of federal and state student financial aid programs. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and student information systems, with preference given to those with knowledge of financial aid packaging applications. Excellent communication and analytical skills.
