Job Description:

Cedar Crest College is seeking a detail-oriented, organized individual to serve as Database Manager within Student Financial Services (SFS). The Manager provides software and technology support and expertise for various integrated systems within SFS, including Access, Excel, SQL Server Management, PowerFaids and Jenzabar. The Manager programs systems to maintain data, analyze, and generate reports for financial and enrollment purposes, creates and maintains scheduling systems to streamline processes and integrate with other systems, writes queries, customizes scripts, and collaborates with the SFS team to implement technological solutions to increase accuracy, productivity and improve customer service. The Manager also provides accurate information and professional assistance to students and families regarding the financial aid process and works closely with other staff members and departments to process financial aid services, including administering the processing, awarding, and reporting of financial aid. The Manager also assures compliance with federal and state financial regulations and prepares reports for analysis and financial purposes.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field required, along with two years of experience programming and maintaining server-based databases. Demonstrated experience working with similar student based databases, queries, and reporting methodologies and tools required.  The successful candidate must have excellent organization and time management skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Effective project management, problem solving and critical thinking skills with a commitment to accuracy, efficiency and confidentiality are also essential.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, along with a focus on providing exceptional customer service required.
